However, if you can’t find someone with the basic search, you probably aren’t going to find them with the network search anyway.

You can also set up your own profile on LinkedIn.com. Though you may think that does not have anything to do with finding a friend, it can help that friend find you. You never know, they may be looking for you as well, and they may end up on that web site doing a search. You may also take advantage of some of the other features they have that can help you with your career. It’s certainly not related to finding someone, but it might help you in other areas of your life.

This type of site is interesting and new, and may end up being a new way to connect with almost anyone. Each one might have a different set of options, so be sure to check quite a few of them out. You may find who you are looking for, and you may find other tools to make your life better or lead you in a new life direction.
